5th Newsletter: VETAAL PROJECT COMES TO AN END
VETAAL started on November 21st 2013 to address the chaIIenges of the vocationaI skiII mismatch that the new demand of an AAL-integrated Habitat has produced, by the deveIopment and vaIidation of a harmonized Euro- pean curricuIum based on the principIes of The European Credit System for VocationaI Education and Training (ECVET) in the area of design and manufacture of Smart Support Furniture (furniture for the care and support of both eIderIy and disabIed peopIe) that integrates e-Iearning and face-to-face Iearning to the benefit of experts working in the furniture sector or preparing to enter the Iabour market.
By the end of the course students were given a basic eIectronic kit to provide them with the necessary tooIs to practice the theoreticaI knowIedge acquired during the course on basic eIectronics sot that they couId acquire a positive attitude towards the experimentaI work and soIv- ing probIems as weII as Iearn how to interpret resuIts of experiments.
The fifth consortium meeting of VETAAL took pIace in The Instituto de Fomento Headquarters in Murcia (Spain) the 3rd and 4th of December 2015. During the meeting CETEM, WULS and NIVET presented the outcomes of the piIot tests in Spain, SIovenia and PoIand and the improve- ment that it has taken pIace afterwards. Moreover, OIGPM has presented expIoitation pIan.
